The Cat Garden in Gaehwasan

I’m still healing (emotionally) from all the stuff I dealt with, and I haven’t come close to even finishing that blog due to how much comes pouring out every time I try to write, I am still unscrambling all that.

I decided to do what makes me happy and went to the Cat Garden in GaehwasanIt seems like most of the pet cafés are shut down, which as much as I liked them always felt a bit weird anyway, so this seemed like a good alternative.

I got excited when I heard about the “Cat Garden” since I love animals, and I was definitely missing mine.  I even found a couple kitties that looked like the ones I’ve missed so much.

Cat Garden is an apt name for this place. The cats roam free and plant themselves where they please. They’re clearly well cared for here, and watching the staff interact with them it’s clear they are doted on. It was super adorable watching one of the staff all several of them by name and trying to get them to do what he needed, sometimes it was medicine, at one point he was grooming one. The nice thing was, you can tell the cats aren’t forced into interactions, and can get away when they’re overstimulated.

It was a very warm day, so most of the kitties were laying out either enjoying the sun or trying to keep cool.

The one thing I was impressed by was the beauty of the area. I’ve always seen pictures of places like this, I was simply enchanted by the area, giving me cause to linger, possibly longer than some.

If you know me, you know that I have several more pictures.
