Abortion: How to mind your own damn business.

Abortion & How to mind your own damn business

Recently people had been very vocal about Hillary Clinton’s stance on late term abortion. It’s a controversial and it’s none of your damn business what a woman (that isn’t you) does to/with her own body. Oh and apparently the whole subject of abortion is rather misunderstood.
I see that you’re thinking…

Well the thing is…

Because of the edicts that the government is enforcing women may become desperate to handle something that may be the result of a medical situation, or it may be from something more traumatic. Those women may not necessarily want to discuss what happened with anyone, and if you think a woman should “prove” that they were raped, just to have “The consequences” of something they may never want to think about again, that’s pretty heartless- Not to mention, if the only way a woman can advocate for an abortion is via rape, WOW that's a twisted perspective; that one must be brutalized first. Typically after something that traumatic people tend to feel that things are pretty bleak, and hopeless already. There really is no reason to make it worse.
I keep seeing this term, “Partial birth abortion.”

*If you want to click that for (graphic) drawings, but not a lot of photos- because “partial birth” is a POLITICAL, NOT MEDICAL term, and does not refer to all late term abortions. It refers to a very specific, and RARE procedure called dilation and evacuation, in which a fetus is partially pulled through the birth canal and then aborted. This is done when the fetus cannot live outside the womb and typically when the mother’s health is in danger, the fetus had a serious abnormality, or both.
"Such a procedure is NOT conducted lightly. The fetus has a fatal defect and will not survive, or the mother is at risk herself.”
If any doctor is going to perform this procedure, the fetus is beyond saving.

Do you understand that you are now protesting the safe removal of a fetus that isn’t going to survive
in the first place?!

A doctor who had conducted "late term abortions" explains, “Health of the mother abortions absolutely do happen- in circumstances of ruptures membranes with an infection or deteriorating heart disease, for example – but they do happen before 24 weeks. No OB-GYN is doing third-Trimester abortions for the health of the mother. We simply just practice obstetrics and deliver the baby by the most appropriate method.” (www.vox.com)

In some cases women miscarry, and should they continue to attempt to carry to term there’s a possibility of turning septic, and even if that doesn’t happen, there’s always the stillbirth to look forward to.
“A dead baby is usually easy to deliver when he has died as the result of gestational hypertension or abruption, because he is usually small and is often macerated. But if he died because labor was obstructed, delivery is more difficult. Cesarean section might seem to be the obvious answer. Unfortunately, if his head is impacted deep in her pelvis, removing it from her uterus at Cesarean section is difficult. She also runs the immediate rick of septic shock and peritonitis, and later one of a scar of her uterus. Provided his head is well down in her pelvis, an operative vaginal delivery, if necessary a destructive one, will be safer. If it is high, you will have to section her.” (http://www.meb.uni-bonn.de/dtc/primsurg/docbook/html/x5001.html)

People act as though abortion is a simple thing for someone to decide, and it’s not. It is usually something that impacts that person’s life forever and that decision isn’t made easily, even in medical situations. The ONLY thing that making abortions illegal does is put more women at risk for having the procedure done ILLEGALLY and dangerously. This sends desperate women into back alleys and it can send them to the grave, all because some people don’t agree with what might most difficult decision of be someone else’s life.
Abortion does not need to go through the government – it needs to STAY OUT of government and it needs to be a personal medical decision.  End of story.  Abortion needs to be a person’s personal choice and nobody else’s. If you don’t agree with abortion, that’s super simple- DON’T GET ONE.
That doesn’t mean you get to enforce an unwanted pregnancy/child on another person- because in the long run, there’s going to be a lot more damage done.
Women cannot get a “late term abortion” even if they want one, not without legitimate medical reason. But, why would they wait that long in the first place?

Apparently it's because they aren't given an option. “A small percentage of late-term abortions (i.e., at or after 21 weeks) are for personal reasons. These procedures also don’t happen in the ‘ninth month’ or one or two days from delivery. When a woman presents for an abortion and she is past 24 weeks, she I told that she is too far along for the procedure. There is even a medical term for this- turnaways. It has been studied, so we know exactly why women present too late: difficulty finding a provider; difficulty getting to the provider, especially given that some states require multiple visits; and difficulty affording the procedure.” (https://www.ansirh.org/index.php)
Still with me?
These pregnant women are often made to jump through too many hoops to have an abortion done in a timely manner. Do you know who usually sets those hoops up? The many people who content that abortion is wrong, because that's their belief. That is fine if that is your belief. I respect it. I also respect your choice NOT TO GET A FUCKING ABORTION! Feel free to lovingly give your unwanted child up for adoption. Do you know what I think is wrong?  When people don’t use their blinkers, but hey most of you don’t seem to have a problem with that, and it could kill someone- yes, yes it could.

Okay, so the law has been signed, people have now been fucked over, and someone has no other option to carry their unwanted child to term. A child they can’t afford. A child they can’t/won’t put up for adoption due to either financial issues, family pressures or another dilemma.
“The most comprehensive longitudinal study ever made” found that “The unwanted children received more psychiatric attention, were often more delinquent, and did more poorly in school.” The consequences of people forced to keep unwanted children, is just as bad as those sent into dark alleys in desperation. Those children often grow up hardly loved, un-cared for, abused, some are even abandoned after birth. These children have a lower birth rate and a higher infant mortality rate.
Even if they are put up for adoption, that isn’t always a happy scenario either. Many children age out, some end up in foster care because they’re not adopted as cute little babies. If they are lucky enough to be adopted as an older child, by this time they often suffer from so many mental problems as a result of the foster systems sick cycle carousel. It’s a rather heart breaking scenario. ( I looked into adopting from foster care at one point, good way to have your emotions ripped to shreds.) People have a rather hard time adopting children that are older and have acquired mental problems. So, can you guess what happens NEXT? They end up in the system for a good long time, sometimes they age out, many have no where to go, and some wind up in a cell. They have now been raised by government, have limited social skill and often severe mental problem, on top of years of abuse…. Even if they’re not put up for adoption, but force raised by a parent. “By the age of 23, these unwanted children showed a greater proneness to social problems criminal activity and had triple the amount of serious repeated offenses requiring custodial prison sentences.” The truth is, “that unwanted children are at increased risk for criminal involvement,” and it “is supported by three decades of academic research.”
So…. Uhm….

Do you see how this scenario doesn’t really improve??! So, please remind me how cutting off safe medical procedures for women is bad? We’ve already determined that the late term abortion schtick is bullshit.
We’ve found that MOST (98%) abortions are preformed for  medical reasons.
Even if it wasn’t for either of those reasons, there is no good reason a woman should be forced into a back alley abortion because another person disagrees with what went on between their legs … oh religion, well if you really wanna drag God into it…

If you don't believe me... fine:
