I don't understand

I am always surprised at how people think, or what words they choose in daily life. Often without any forethought of their effect on those around them. I wonder how many people  see themselves as a drop in the water, their motions carrying out around them? Their actions ever diluted into the ether, the ripples effecting  what they touch. I sometimes wonder how people can look on as though they see nothing, although I am VERY good at this. I am overly content with head phones on and in my own little world, so much so, I don’t always come back out. Just because I do it, doesn’t mean I understand why!

I don't think I will ever understand people who believe they are the center of the universe, that the world is in their way. I don’t see how people fail to understand that we all have our own pain, we all have our own achievements. We all have bad days and good.

I don’t understand people who believe they are the way to enlightenment, yet so close minded they refuse to use logic in real-life situations. Yes I do know people this way. I don’t always know what to think, but I  tell myself they’re human, this is how they are. Would you realize it if you were this way? If someone told you, would you listen?

I don’t understand people who can’t think for themselves, or mainly those who refuse to. I don’t understand people who refuse to listen to the repeated warnings of those around them, and then wonder where it all went wrong.

I don’t understand people who whine about not having what they want or achieving goals they’ve put forward, because they’re not willing to try. (It is one thing to try and not succeed, it’s is something else to never try at all.) Expecting everything to happen or be handed to them. I am personally guilty of living in a non-existent dream world. I day dream... constantly. I like my imaginary world, but I’m fully aware of reality. I know full well, if I don’t crawl my happy ass out of bed and do my homework, or go to class, or go to work, everything I want in reality is all for naught.
